An American education is extremely in-demand all over the world. There are plenty of reasons for that: a strong job market, a focus on innovation, and an emphasis on critical thinking are just a few. But there’s a very big barrier to getting into many U.S. universities: you have to get in! College admissions can be competitive for Americans themselves, so just imagine how difficult it can be for international students who may not know about the application process or how to prepare their applications adequately. Luckily, some American schools are more open to accepting international students than others! University of Texas at Austin

It’s no surprise that Texas has a high acceptance rate for international students. As the second-largest state in the US, with a population of 28.5 million people, Texas is home to several world-class universities such as UT Austin, which boasts an acceptance rate of 42 percent for international students.

The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) is one of the most prestigious and selective universities in the United States and has consistently been ranked among America’s best schools by Forbes and The Princeton Review. It also has a high acceptance rate for international applicants: 42 percent last year.

Colorado State University

Colorado State University is a public research university located in Fort Collins, Colorado. It is the state’s land-grant university, and its flagship campus. The university has a total enrollment of more than 33,000 students, including over 1,000 international students from over 70 countries.

Colorado State University-Fort Collins was founded on March 13th 1876 as a branch of the Colorado Agricultural College (now known as Colorado State University-Pueblo). In 1930 it became an independent institution called Colorado A&M College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts with an enrollment of just 200 students. Over time the school grew to have almost 16,000 undergraduates along with 5 graduate programs (in business administration) plus one doctoral program (in education).

Ohio State University

Ohio State University is a public research university in Columbus, Ohio. The university has a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs in areas such as business and technology management, education, liberal arts and sciences, information systems management, and engineering technology. These programs are offered through Penn State’s College of Education or its College of Information Sciences & Technology.

While you may be able to get your bachelor’s degree from Penn State at a lower cost than in-person tuition prices at other schools—and without having to leave your home country—the tradeoff is that you’ll have to do all your coursework online through the school’s World Campus program instead of attending classes on campus with other students or taking them online via edX (like Coursera does).

Purdue University Global (Online)
