H. P. Lovecraft’s tales of the tentacled Elder God Cthulhu

The H. P. Lovecraft’s tales of the tentacled Elder God Cthulhu pdf is a collection of stories written by the master storyteller for pulp magazines in the 1920s and 1930s. The stories blend elements of science fiction and horror and include the entire Cthulhu Mythos cycle. The collection is beautifully packaged in a leatherbound tome with beautiful illustrations.

The first novel in the collection tells of the demon ‘Cthulhu’, a vampiric entity that absorbs vital forces and continuously puts forth and reabsorbed its vestigial appendages. This monster lives in the Xentilx galaxy, where he is served by Zarrian aliens. It is trapped in a star-filled Plateau of Sung, where it will only be freed when the stars are right. Its body is a cone-shaped mass with six legs, a green eye, and a reptilian head.

In addition to Cthulhu, other characters in the tales include the Shaurash-Ho, a dark-skinned, humanoid creature worshipped by early African civilizations as Amun. Though these creatures are not yet fully described, they share a similar appearance to Cthulhu. The story is a mixture of fiction and fantasy, so readers will probably enjoy it regardless of genre.

The book also features the Tall Humanoid, a creature with a beaked grinning mouth and stiff claws. This being is related to zoomorphic shapeshifters and can be summoned by the reader through the use of the jinn. It was worshipped in the lost continent of the southern Atlantic Ocean and is the nemesis of the Outer God Uvhash. The tall Humanoid’s crown of tentacles is similar to Cthulhu’s avatar, Father of All Sharks, and more.

The Great Old Ones lived before men were born, and they came to our young world out of the sky. After the first men formed a cult, they retreated into the far reaches of the dark and distant wastes. They eventually trapped Cthulhu in a sunken tomb. In the third chapter of the book, two sailors accidentally release him from their tomb. In the ensuing chase, he awakens and attacks them.
