To become a member of the Pennsylvania Home Inspectors Association, an individual must be certified by a nationally recognized professional organization. This certification must be approved by the Department of Licenses and Inspections. Currently, the approved agency is the American Society of Home Inspectors. Additionally, the applicant must be current on Philadelphia taxes. Those interested in becoming members can apply for membership through eCLIPSE, an online application portal. To visit the Permit and License Center in person, make an appointment before noon on the last Wednesday of each month.

He is also on the board of directors of Greenbelt Structural Services, which specializes in energy efficiency consulting.
