Most homebuyers in Pennsylvania choose a home inspector to accompany them when purchasing a home. The reason for this is that home prices have gone up and homeowners are more concerned about the condition of their property. The past was a different story. Back then, most people didn’t care about their homes’ condition. However, now, you can’t assume that the value of your home will increase over time. If you’re selling your home, you don’t want to end up with a home that needs repairs.
Certified inspectors are members of the Association of Certified Home Inspectors (ASHI). They also have passed an exam from a third party testing organization and must adhere to a strict code of ethics. This ensures that inspectors are reliable and professional, and that they have received the proper training.

If you are interested in hiring a home inspector, be sure to ask for samples of their work. These samples should give you an idea of the level of detail they will provide in their inspection. In addition, they should be able to show you pictures of any issues found during the inspection. Additionally, some inspectors let you accompany them throughout the inspection. This way, you can ask questions and point out concerns as they arise.
